Cant blame Joe for   not prioritizing making games over  sleep and family life...

He makes them and no one plays...  I log in and  go to play and see 2 3 or 4 games all not started  with  zero or one registered..time after  time after  time.

Not wanting to wait hours for the game  to start i just  shut  down the lobby and  move  on,     I am sure others  do the same  thing...

The problem is a lack of players on the site  for a multitude of reasons  and as i have said  this is the biggest  concern at fatcat.. the lack of interest  the malaise, leading to  no one playing..

It to me is a combination of things, some have never found their way here, some still having problems logging in,  and  some losing interest over the length of time to get the site fully functional, with more games...  BUT   the site needs something to bring at the very least the loyal players from   before the crash back... then start moving forward..

The mass email didnt do it,  posting on the old site  or linking the old site to the new site is not an option apparently...short of knocking on doors I am at a loss  myself..

Good Post Agree ...Yes I agree Joe has done a fantastic job of getting the site back to where it is. Fatcat biggest and only asset was its players and without them it may as well shut done...of course I doubt if anyone wants that, but basically that may have to be the reality.......Joe you should be able to tell us how many players have re-registered with Teamfatcat...IMO if it is less than 60 players...it is not worth wasting your time pursuing the new site and spending any cash upgrading it...I know you are trying your hardest...and so are many more...but without players or access to be able to have the database of players contacted I just feel that you are taking a huge gamble on players returning which may not happen. Sorry all I am not wishing to be negative.......but I also don't wish to see people lose their money either Sigh

Sharron i  too  do not  wish to be negative  just realistic....  I have said many times i hope  that those involved are not just wasting their  time....

We need at least the old  solid players back and  build  from there...  what we have  now  from where i stand  just  will not make it  work...

Get the old players pre crash back, get the new program running, get the active teams back up and  running and   get the site on search programs like  google  with the team premise along with word of mouth from the members  to old members not registered  and  to   potential new  members  and   I am sure the site  will work...

But  sadly the few players  and general malaise  towards playing that is evident right now.. just isnt going to cut it  at least the way i see it and i seriously doubt this site right now has 25 active members let alone 60

It seems that since the freerolls are not drawing enough players to start the game, the sng tables would be the place to go if you want a game while the site is not yet up & running. Only takes 2 players there. idea

Fully agree......it is players they need first...I know that there is less than 25 active members playing atm...the reason I asked Joe how many players have re registered at Teamfatcat...as it would be good to know there is a little hope in the future...prior to the crash and for one month we had 100 members that had scored over 70k in that month---these were regular players and I know that most of them would have tried or at least been interested in fatcat being up and running and tried to re register...hence my figure of 60 is 60% should have re registered at least...if that has not happened for whatever reason...then we have a huge problem. I know most members have tried their best to notify teamies or friends privately...so whatever the membership is at teamfatcat now is probably what is going to remain give or take a few and that is not enough to warrant investment in a new site

Maybe a way to create some interest is to have a short individual competition weekly or bi- weekly to get members motivated to return to tables (don't really think there is enough for teams yet)...but definately something needs to be done to get motivation up and before any money or time is further spent. After previously coming from a site that has shut down......I know how hard it is to get players motivated and prevent malaise and the longer it goes on the worse it is

P.S OMG --have you seen how many poker sites use fatcat on google...oh well at least teamfatcat is at top Thumbs up

The 404 from clicking "play Poker" on the old site was DB's doing, he deleted some files. I fixed the link some time ago.

115 people recovered their accounts at teamfatcat.

Made some tables, registration will start shortly and the game will begin 3pm est.

Cheers Joe and thanks...checked the link about half an hour ago and it was redirecting (down now tho---saying too many connections)......115 is promising news--maybe some hope afterall...just gotta find a way to entice them to tables now...thanks for setting tables up again tc xx

Stop wasting your time ppl......It will be up or it will not........It is sad, and as i see it right now all we have is the old fatcat program running...One game an hour and it needs half hour games to keep the interest of ppl to play...

No scores are kept to make the site fun.....

I said it several times if they had team scores, individual scores ppl would jump on and play...

Why would anyone donate for this...I would be more then happy to donate but as it is right now just seems like a waste of money..IMO

As for starting the site at Zero fine do it..Do something to get it going..
This stalemate has gone on long enough.
The site is stagnate....Sad indeed..

what good will games every 30 mins do?
at the time you posted there were 10 games up for registration...and just one person registered in 3 of them. ( none of them you bigc)
i had just finished a game against 2 sitters.
i didnt even want to play, i just saw a game with 2 entrants so joined up to make up the numbers.
making more frequent games is just added workload for muf or joe, and it would still be a miracle if a game started.

maybe a lot of people are just keeping patient until fatcat fires up properly?

We just got the new poker system working. Tonight/tomorrow the site will be down as I move the new forums and poker to the main site. At this time there isn't any teams and the only leader boards will be displayed is Individual Chip standings as that is the easiest one to put up and no complex php/sql calculations is needed.

Changes to the site will happen as its still unfinished (things needs to be added/changed/removed), but the core functions are working.

You will need to make new accounts once the site is up.

Hope that everyone comes back with a new attitude, and that Fatcat once again is the only place
we want to play.

It was just a suggestion ROY....I thought maybe if there was a half hour game it would hold ppl to the tables and play the ones set on every hour then give them a half hour game to keep the action going...

So your saying no to a half hour game and that is fine if you had read what i said i said in caps IMO...Now if that doesn't hold ppl to stay logged in and play so be it no need to come out swinging at me over my opinion.....I thot this crap ended between us and if you keep on counter posting to me then so be it....
I was in no way trying to make waves....I mean you read my posts and as it is there is no competition.....Just a thought is all no need to call me out on it...

I guess i should say good point roy and end it at that..
Seems my opinion doesn't mean squat so let it go, i have..

Peace all gl
