Joezilla...new glitch

I'm doing some server changes today. Just to let ya guys know if it server related such as making file changes, currently i'm the only one doing it and have been doing it. Unfortunately we don't have five people able to make changes server side. All I ask is to bear with me, I'm helping out in my own free time.
If there was no tables then it slipped our minds, as Mufasa an I have to make them manually.

I did not think I was complaining or bitching about the site when I reported a problem.  I think Muf and especially Anthony are doing a fantastic job, especially considering what they had to work with.  It is simply that one can't address a problem if one isn't aware of it.   'Nuf said...

Perhaps if there was a post letting ppl know the site might be down or not working right due to maintenance or reprogramming or whatever, there would be less panic when things seem to be working well 1 min then inaccessible the next. Just a thought...

Diane... if you scroll down on that page you should see a button (blue on my Mac) that says PLAY. Click on it & the lobby with the games should come up.

Its fine, We're now up and running on the new server (for about probably an hour or two). Took a bit longer than expected but its working. Now gotta make more tables

Oh well i have tried several ways...I have used chrome did the forgot password,sent email,nvr got reply, still no game..
I tried firefox and no go...
I will not use any more browsers...Two is enough for me..

In order to get in and play poker you need to request a password reset under the login page.

It will ask you for the email on the account. Once it sends, you should get an email that says "Your Team FatCat password reset request." In the email there will be a link. Click on that and it will redirect you to the site with the verification code already in the proper field. You need to enter your username in the field above it. After it will give the option to enter a new password and to confirm the password is typed correctly. After that you can log in. You need to log out and log in once or twice to generate a "token" that is used to play poker.

I did all of the above cattmandu lol.....I have tried to log out and back in to no avail..I sent my email in as well and did the forgot pw option....

There is really no point trying multiple browsers In my opinion. If you get a red screen, that means Flash is not loading in that browser. I cant fix that on my end as it has to do with your particular browser settings. You either need to install flash or enable it for the site. In Chrome at the top of where the address bar is. There is a little "i" with a circle around that. From there you can enable and disable settings for a particular site. I can't comment for any other browser other than Chrome.

If your not getting an email after requesting a password reset then either it went to spam/junk, or your email provider is blocking our emails. I know for a fact Yahoo and Gmail is fine cause its what I use. If for some reason ANYONE cant get in for some unknown reason, PM me or let Mufasa know and he'll tell me.

I'll say one thing, the site is more "secure" now than the old one. Why? Because your password was simply displayed in the address bar when playing poker. I removed that and replaced it with a randomly generated token and passwords are now encrypted. Might not sound like much, but the way DB and the old php had everything coded and stored. Once I got into the SQL I could literally see everyone's passwords in plain text. Now its a bunch of random characters that I think its like 60 digits long, and it makes it almost impossible to decrypt. So security is my first goal.

We also plan on adding SSL to the site. Its on our to-do list. As well as over all upgrades. At the moment I'm waiting for time to go to the bank so we can get new forum software. Couldn't do it today cause when my wife left this morning and the bank wasn't open. So now the plan is, that we do so tomorrow while we're out and about shopping.

I'll be honest the site your seeing right now was something I threw together and made it work with the poker program. By no means do I plan on using it as the final product. The forum software is what I'm going to build the site off of. So that you only have to log in one time to use poker, the site, and forums. the old site when you registered, it made 2 separate accounts, one for poker and site, and one for the forums. that's why you had to sign in again when visiting the forums.

As for not loading correctly i have logged in as you and works fine from my personal computer.

Hey Big C...you were on b4 ..lets get on again. Logged on w/both Chrome and Firefox. I restarted my puter and was getting red screen on chrome. Had to go in and reset flash. Did not have the "little i" up by the site addy as b4, so went into settings,go down to privacy, click on content settings and go down to flash and enable it. Should do the trick...I hope.

had no prob. with it until yesterday...if that was the case
