I have been offered the site and willing to take CFC over indefinitely but the fate of CFC depends on the members and your help without it i cannot Guarantee the site will stay open.

I have worked out the details with a few members who wish to remain Anonymous but they are willing to work with me in private to obtain the site legally and have me run the site.

What this means is once the site is officially handed over that DB will no longer be running the site. I am willing to take full responsibility for the site and continue to make sure we are up and running.

What i am asking is this, We need dedicated monthly donations to make this happen, I plan on having an account for CFC ONLY so this will be separate from my own account with no transfer between the 2 because CFC belongs to CFC and my personal finances belong to me.

Financially i cannot handle this by my self, Without the members the site will be doomed.

If all this is a go the members will know what happens, how much and how things are going.

We really need everyone's support to make this happen.

DO NOT USE THE DONATIONS LINK ON THE MAIN SITE, Kygal posted my po box that at this time is the only way i can do anything with CFC donations

This is a real plea for the sake of CFC so if your serious about helping keep the site online then ill make it happen but i will need your help.

Please Email support@pokerfatcat.net for any questions concerns or promises. Once things are going in the right direction i will be posting more information and questions with answers as of now we really need to know what you all think.

thanks all just really need donations mail to above address ASAP so he can pay this months server due the 23rd.

It would be helpful to know how much the monthly server bill is, and how much Mufasa needs for his own personal time devoted to FatCat. This woild give us a rough idea of how much the regular players needed to contribute on a monthly basis. I would be open to a monthly or even yearly subscription fee if that would help Mufasa on a long term basis, rather than him having to ask for donations every month, as that would be very wearing on him physically & emotionally, and also very time consuming.

the server is $300.00 per month and payment is due on the 23rd. muf needs some funds in the next couple of days.

My check for $30 will go out in tomorrow's mail.

mine went out this morning and i know it will get to him by the 23rd.

Fatcatter's if you want to play on here we all need to step up and keep the site we all love to play on rocking...

If i can help in any other way's let me know mufasa.......Let's get this site a new owner and know the site will NOT drop simply because we didn't donate to help it stay up and running...That would be a real bummer....

Last time fatcat needed donation and asked everyone to donate 65 US$,,i donated 65 US$ and alot wroted they donated the 65 US$ but it ended up with a total of only 230 US$.

I asked to buy the site before jazz ended up buying it,Only diffrence is i wanted to buy it with my own Money and run it on my own way with no one else involved,And no donation would have been needed at that time or in the future,not even got a reply fom the email i was asked to wrote to.

Now you want a takeover with anonymous owners and one public front figur and us the players to send in cheques wich is a strange way to run it and is not the right way.
If i gonna send a cheque it will take a few days with the mail and up to a week to clear the cheque,Not everyone lives in USA.

Edit: why not paypal ? or other fast transaction ways ?

First i want to say is thank you this means a lot for me and the site as a whole.

Im going to be frank and honest, Paypal has me banned from using their service, i was hacked back in 2001 and my account was used to commit fraud and i proved it wasn't me but they state i owe them money. I have the police report, i have the country of origin and the person who hacked my account and sent it all to the security team at paypal. i even called the police in the country and town they lived in to report it and i was told that i should keep my accounts secure that there is nothing they can do and it was my fault...I have no respect for paypal or ebay since that happened i even got a lawyer to contact paypal and my lawyer said that they were the worst company when it comes to online transfers because it states that if they feel feel like suspending an account that the consumer is screwed and out what ever funds is in it and there is nothing the consumer can do about it.

I have an account with JPmorgan Chase bank for CFC use only ive had it for almost 7 years and that was how i was being paid to admin CFC when i was working for DB full time it costs me 12$ a month to keep the account open and i do not use it for anything else so i will be dedicating it for CFC use only.

I can make deposits from my cell phone to the account without walking into the bank so for now this is the easiest way to get the server paid each month and to do a 1 time transfer to DB for the site. (the site will be transferred to me directly and DB will no longer have anything to do with the finances of the site and no longer will own the site.) I will be doing this here soon and will not be drawn out like JAZZ.

I have a few suggestions from another member to use gofundme web site and another site like it for CFC. Im not sure how it works so i will be checking on them soon, I do have a square card reader and can manually enter the info for credit and debit cards but im not a big fan of that idea either, I also have a google account and have made payments to web sites that way for buying stuff for my kids but not sure if it can be used for cfc donations.

I have so much to do and so little time to sort everything out, Everyone has been so informative and asking tons of questions and im liking this because the members need to know when, what, how, why and where.

Just because the site will be in my name doesn't mean its mine it will be for the members and ran by the members im wanting to step up and make sure it happens. All i ask is for everyone to help me keep the site running.

As of now DB told me the server rent is 300 a month and due on the 23rd each month and doesn't give me much time. Im worried that if the donations are not met and i plan on putting in my share of what i can afford as well so it not just up to the members its also up to me.

I do plan on getting the TLU up and running and want to get the leaders involved in the site as well, topics will be Games, programming, server options, possible board of directors, Dedicated sponsors, just a few ideas ive been thinking about and want the opinions. some may be scrapped but the topics will be discussed.

Finance report each month or quarter for the members to see who what why how much and whats in reserve, possible to restart the prizes but would be limited on what and how this can be voted upon as well.

As of now this is what i have been thinking of and could happen or not, but the game plan for the immediate future is to acquire and keep the site from being closed.

Again im not doing this to take over the site and be an idiot i want to make sure the site stays open and you all have a place to call home and play and have fun, all i ask if for everyone's help to keep it open.

I know a few people will have doubts or wont help that's part of a free poker site, this is why i was thinking of a board of directors it wont be just me making decisions if we start this but something to think about. Just a thought trust me this is so new at the moment just trying to get the members involved in more ways than just being a member.

Its past my bed time so im closing this here for now i will be keeping up and posting as much as possible.

Mufasa has been running this site since its inception and is known to all the players at FatCat. DB might have been footing the bill for the monthly server fees, but Mufasa has been the man behind the scenes that took care of all the details and he still is. I think the players are comfortable with him continuing in that capacity, and I for one am willing to support him in this endeavor and will hope that those who play here will want to support him in that too.

While you seem to appear in this forum more than you do in the games and clearly all are entitled to voice their opinion, I believe the majority of players will support Mufasa and are happy he is going to be running the site going forward. As far as your offer to buy this site, clearly DB had no interest whatsoever in selling it to you or seeing you run it, which would account for his not replying to you. The players that have been here for many years would like this to continue to be their poker home and are not really interested in seeing anyone want to own it who "wanted to run it their way with no one else involved." They've already seen where that road goes and it's a road to nowhere.

I would rather pony up some cash to support this site and help Mufasa find a way to see if it can't become self-sustaining by attracting new players, selling merchandise and getting advertising. The site needs work and it needs cash, ideas and volunteers. I don't actually think most of the players want to see another outsider come in that wants to turn this into their own ego trip, which is not something any of us want to see it become even if it means it will run for free.

I realize that English is not your first language, but if you actually read what I wrote you would not have posted your reply because none of what you just posted was said.

This thread is not about me and it's not about you, so I'm just going to leave it at that. It is about supporting FatCat and Mufasa. If you want to make it all about you I guess you can do whatever you want to do.

Bottom line is DB DID NOT WANT TO SELL THIS SITE TO YOU AND, BASED UPON MY ALMOST 10 YEARS AT FATCAT, "I BELIEVE" THE MAJORITY OF THE MEMBERS ARE GLAD TO HAVE MUFASA CONTINUE TO RUN IT. If that doesn't include you well you can't make all of the people happy all of the time.

I totally agree with Queen. We don't need another Jazz running this site. No offense intended to you diablo. All drama in this forum has pretty much disappeared with Jazz's departure. Mufasa has done a great job and his continueing to do so is a benifit to all. I've been here for 10 years and feel like I need to pay back for all the entertainment and friendship I've received here. My check is in the mail and hopefully mufasa gets it in time to cover the next months expenses. I know most aren't able to contribute as much, but hopefully most fatcatters will contribute what they can in order to keep this site afloat and keep this site as ours.
